In February 2009, I ran my first 5K race. In March 2010, I ran my first half marathon. On 10.10.10 I ran my first marathon in Chicago. What to do when you’ve run the big one? Improve.

I’m now training for my next half marathon, and I’m determined to beat my old time by at least 10 minutes.

Half Marathon Training Plan
Monday: rest day!
Tuesday: track workout/muscle conditioning
Wednesday: weekly 5k
Thursday: cross training/short run
Friday: weights
Saturday: long run
Sunday: yoga/short run
